Information Expo on Multiple Pathways 2015
To help candidates of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination and other students plan well for their further studies and career pathways, the “Information Expo on Multiple Pathways 2015” featured course information and enquiry services from post-secondary and vocational education institutions.
More than 30 exhibition booths provided information on locally-accredited post-secondary programmes (including vocational education programmes), Yi Jin Diploma, non-local programmes and articulation pathways outside Hong Kong. The Expo also provided information on the Information Portal for Accredited Post-secondary Programmes (iPASS), Electronic Advance Application System for Post-secondary Programmes (E-APP), e-Navigator, Concourse for Self-financing Post-secondary Education (Concourse) and Qualifications Framework which are useful tools and platforms to assist students in planning their further studies.
Apart from booths, Hok Yau Club, the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups and the Hong Kong Young Women's Christian Association offered advisory services to students. There were also talks on multiple pathways for secondary school graduates, including preparation for articulation to post-secondary education and experience sharing by students of post-secondary programmes. To enable students having first-hand information, industry representatives were invited to interact with institutions and students to share how cooperation between institution and industry would better prepare students for their further career.
