Definition of Terms
[1] Major teaching facilities available and scheduled for the use of students with respect to the conduct of teaching activities.
[2] A room with a seating capacity exceeding 60 can be regarded as a "lecture theatre".
[3] Major non-teaching facilities available for the use of students to support relevant activities in support of students' learning.
[4] Total number of full time students enrolled in the self-financing programme(s) in the "Register" of EDB (hereinafter as "Programme") of the institution.  It included undergraduate programmes subsidised under Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/Sectors (SSSDP). Sub-degree refers to Associate Degree and Higher Diploma.
[5] Total number of full time/part-time staff remunerated by the institutions in teaching and/or teaching support activities.
[6] Full-time equivalent (FTE) is calculated by the fraction of total working hours of the full-time/part-time staff devoted or contributed to the relevant programmes to the total number of normal working hours of a full-time staff of the same / equivalent rank during the contract period.
[7] Figures include both full-time and part-time academic staff.
[8] The ratio of full-time equivalent (FTE) academic staff to number of full-time students enrolled.
[9] The information contained in the summary table is provided by institutions for general reference purpose. The arrangement only applies to applications with the result of current Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination. For details, please contact individual institutions direct.

[11] Application fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.

[13] University Grants Committee-funded (UGC-funded) programmes are provided by the following institutions: City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University, Lingnan University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Education University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and The University of Hong Kong. Programmes offered by The Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK), including those that can be applied through Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS), and The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) are not UGC-funded programmes.
[14] Enrolment deposit/registration fee is normally non-refundable. Refund will only be considered on exceptional cases or as specified by the institutions. If refund is available, institutions have the right to request the applicants to provide supporting documents. For details, please contact individual institutions direct. Administrative fee for successful refund is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
[15] For refund application, the deadline of noon of 10 Aug 2016 is only applicable to those applicants who have accepted an offer from a full-time UGC-funded undergraduate programme, or an undergraduate programme subsidised under Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/Sectors (SSSDP), during the JUPAS main round offer while the deadline of noon of 23 Aug 2017 is only applicable to those applicants who have accepted an offer from a full-time UGC-funded undergraduate programme, or an undergraduate programme subsidised under SSSDP, during the JUPAS clearing round offer. Late refund applications will not be considered.

SSSDP is introduced starting from the 2015/16 academic year to subsidise about 1 000 students per cohort to pursue designated full-time locally-accredited self-financing undergraduate programmes in selected disciplines. Details are set out at the dedicated webpage (www.cspe.edu.hk/sssdp). The subsidised places under SSSDP are allocated mainly through JUPAS.
[16] The total number of students who have successfully completed the programmes of study and eligible for the prescribed award.
[17] The total number of graduates in the Academic Year responding to the graduate survey conducted by the course providers and successfully enumerated in the graduate statistics of articulation and employment.
[18] Others including graduates part-time employed/underemployed or were not seeking employment for the time being.
[19] Percentage of students pursuing degree programmes, of which the awards are granted by a locally registered institution. Graduates of Pre-Associate Degree or Foundation Diploma or any equivalent preparatory course should not be included.
[20] Percentage of students pursuing degree programmes, of which the awards are granted by a non-local institution, irrespective of whether the programmes are conducted in Hong Kong.
[21] Underemployed - The underemployed population comprises those employed persons who have involuntarily worked less than thirty-five hours during the seven days before enumeration and have sought additional work during the thirty days before enumeration, or have not sought additional work but have been available for additional work during the seven days before enumeration.
[22] Average annual salary including commission and other cash allowances. (Except for HKU SPACE Community College and Hong Kong Shue Yan University)
